NL # 12 - Sometimes the most meaningful part of creation begins when we finally let go of what we created.

There’s something exciting about letting go.

Not giving up. Not walking away.

Simply trusting that something you created may find the person who needs it—even if you never get to witness the moment it happens.

Recently, I placed a copy of Curiosity to Creation inside a Little Free Library.

There was no marketing strategy behind it. No expectation of a sale. No way of knowing who might eventually pick it up.

Just the quiet belief that curiosity has a way of bringing the right things—and sometimes the right ideas—to people at exactly the right moment.

💙 Curiosity

Every meaningful journey begins somewhere.

Sometimes it begins through a recommendation. Sometimes through a conversation. And sometimes it begins with a book sitting quietly on a shelf, waiting for someone who almost kept walking.

A person stops.

They notice the cover.

They read the title.

They wonder what might be inside.

That tiny moment of curiosity may be all it takes to open an entirely new door.

🧡 Permission

As authors, creators, and artists, it can be easy to feel attached to what we make.

We spend months—or even years—turning an idea into something real.

But eventually, creation asks us to do something difficult:

Give it permission to leave our hands.

To travel.

To become part of someone else’s experience.

To mean something to another person that we may never completely understand.

The impact of our work isn’t something we always get to witness.

💙 Discovery

I may never know who finds this particular copy.

I may never know why they picked it up, what page catches their attention, or whether one question inside it helps them see something differently.

And I’m becoming okay with that.

Because some discoveries are meant to happen without the creator standing nearby watching.

Sometimes the greatest gift we can give something we’ve created is the freedom to continue its journey without us.

🧡 Reflection

That made me think about creation differently.

We often measure success by what comes back to us—sales, reviews, messages, recognition, or proof that something worked.

But not every meaningful impact sends a receipt.

Somewhere, someone may read something you wrote, hear something you said, or encounter something you created—and quietly carry it forward.

You may never know.

That doesn’t make the impact any less real.

💙 Creation

Creation doesn’t end when a book is published.

In many ways, that’s where creation begins again.

Someone opens the first page.

A new question forms.

An old belief gets challenged.

An idea begins growing.

A different possibility becomes visible.

Maybe this particular copy will sit inside that Little Free Library for months.

Maybe someone will pick it up tomorrow.

Either way, its journey has already begun.

And perhaps that is one of the most beautiful parts of creating anything:

Eventually, you have to let it go and allow it to find its own path.
