Focused Attention - NL Post #2What if curiosity isn’t distraction—but your greatest form of focus? What is focused attention? We do this every day — at work, in the gym, or when we’re “in the zone,” acting on something with such intensity that time and space seem to melt away. This is the channeling state. Most people call it the flow state. Can curiosity be focused attention? I believe it can. It’s a state of mind we access that allows for growth — the center of “Opportunities and Possibilities” within the Curiosity POD Mindset. When curiosity becomes focused attention, it turns into a bridge for embracing the unknown and a companion when sitting with uncertainty. So yes — I’ve been using curiosity as a grounding tool. As focused attention. When emotional triggers arise in my life, curiosity follows: Why is this bothering me? Becoming a Curiosity Creator means evoking your own curiosity and using it to explore what genuinely sparks your mind and drives you to act in this physical world. No one can tell you your desires. Just be aware of that quiet voice — fear, self-doubt, unworthiness — that tries to pull you away from pursuing it. If you feel fear, recognize it. Turn the volume down on fear and move forward anyway. Patterns of thinking and curiosity have been with me since I was a child. If this sparked something in you, I’ll go deeper in my next post with a short story: “Frequencies of Curiosity.” |

I was asked to take on something I had already made clear I wasn’t available for. I said no. Not aggressively. Not disrespectfully. I simply communicated a boundary. But somewhere during the conversation, my answer stopped being treated like an answer and started being treated...
NL #9 – The Moment I Realized the Journal Was More Than a Workbook When I created the 30-Day Curiosity Reset Journal, I knew what I wanted it to offer. A place to slow down. A place to reflect. A place to become curious about where you are, what you need, and where you may want to go next. But creating something and witnessing it work are two completely different experiences. Recently, I gave a copy of the journal to a friend who was navigating a significant transition in his life. It was one...
