Your First Permission Slip - NL Post #5CURIOSITY, PERMISSION, DISCOVERY — REFLECTION 'Move beyond fear, unlocking abundance to create the life you imagine.' The best example I can give of recognizing programming, catching fear when it arises, and moving beyond it to unlock the abundance of opportunities in front of you — or me, for that matter — goes back to a story from Thailand. I was staying in Chiang Mai, Thailand, to celebrate the launch of Curiosity to Creation, which never happened due to legal matters surrounding the first publishing launch of the book (a story for another time). That’s when I met a fellow motorcyclist. In my mind, he was Australian, but in reality, he was British, living in Australia — with the grit and demeanor of an Aussie. He was on a six-month journey riding his motorcycle through Southeast Asia. He started in Malaysia and made his way north through Thailand, where we connected in Chiang Mai. We quickly became friends through our shared passion and excitement for adventure motorcycles. He invited me to join him on a 1,500 km loop through the northern mountains of Thailand. It was an exciting opportunity. But right away, I was met with fear. Fear of leaving my comfort zone. Fear of spending money beyond my budget. Fear of what could happen if I didn’t have the proper international driver’s license and got pulled over. Doubt, because I had just met this person. Insecurities — like not being experienced enough, or somehow not worthy of going on a journey like this. ⸻ 🔹 Curiosity That’s when I realized my framework could help me. I could move beyond fear, act on the abundance in front of me, and create the life I imagined — a motorcycle adventure through Thailand. A memory I could carry with me for the rest of my life. ⸻ 🔹 Permission Synchronicity started playing a huge role. It felt like I was being shown a path of least resistance. I even shared these moments in real time on Instagram — like finding a motorcycle shop for the gear I needed, and getting a discounted deal on a bike rental, about ฿500 cheaper (roughly $15 a day). Everything started lining up. All I had to do was give myself permission. ⸻ 🔹 Discovery The beautiful part about this experience is that it became something I could have never fully imagined. It was one of the most enjoyable, exciting, and meaningful moments of my life. And yet — it started as nothing more than an opportunity. A possibility. All I had to do was give myself permission to act on my curiosity, move beyond fear, and let go of the limiting beliefs that were trying to hold me back. That’s when creation unfolded. ⸻ It was a defining moment. Because the truth is — most of us have opportunities in front of us every single day. But fear-based belief systems tell us: • we can’t • the timing isn’t right • we should wait And when we listen to that… we stay where we are. But when you move beyond your comfort zone — when you trust — you show creation that you believe. And life begins to meet you there. In ways more beautiful than you could have ever imagined. ⸻ Curiosity to Creation Curiosity Creators Justin Charles Allman |

NL Post # 10 — Employment Is an Agreement, Not Ownership Give yourself permission to reclaim your power Recently, I had an interaction at work that left me thinking about something much bigger than the situation itself. I was asked to take on something I had already made clear I wasn’t available for. I said no. Not aggressively. Not disrespectfully. I simply communicated a boundary. But somewhere during the conversation, my answer stopped being treated like an answer and started being treated...
NL #9 – The Moment I Realized the Journal Was More Than a Workbook When I created the 30-Day Curiosity Reset Journal, I knew what I wanted it to offer. A place to slow down. A place to reflect. A place to become curious about where you are, what you need, and where you may want to go next. But creating something and witnessing it work are two completely different experiences. Recently, I gave a copy of the journal to a friend who was navigating a significant transition in his life. It was one...
